Fairies World

Fairies World is the world where all the miracle things can happen to you!

There was a myth of a Goddess called Aphrodite, who was born as a god of beauty. Because she got a mistake, so the ruler of all gods, Zeus abandoned her to a planet that was standing out of the solar system. Aphrodite didn’t give up- she created a world for her own ruled, which was a very beautiful and huge place.

Aphrodite used clays, jewelries and everything that she got from the earth to build this lovely world. She divided her clay in to 3 parts, shaped those pieces of clays as the symbols of her idea of her 3 lands’ name: flowers land (flower shaped), creative land (pot shaped) and the very last was the flying creatures land (butterfly shaped). The very first people at there, which was the dragonflies people, located their clan at the creative land, which was located at 45° north and 67° south. The other two were: Flowers land (20° N and 35° E), flying creature land (160°N and 45°E). The Flowers land and the creative land connected to each other by the Love valley, yet the Flying creature land was totally separated to the other- till year 1800s, people there built a rainbow bridge, which we didn’t walk on it, but we slide though it to get to the main land ( creative land) or the flower land. This bridge was totally safe, because it could controlled the speed between two people who were sliding on the bridge, to make sure the distance between those people to slide down.

There was a large rivers and lakes system at the main land. The main river at there was called the chicken river divided in two feeders: the S.S – at the bottom of the land, near to the candy villages and the Mamamia, stayed next to the sweet village and the factories Sunshine. The fairies world is an archipelago, because they were all facing the ocean. People at the three lands communicated very well, although they all had same ancestor. They usually traded things and exchanged their ideas, used boat, or rocket or the rainbow bridge to transport, used their knowledge at difference places, wherever they traveled to. People here practiced monotheism, that was Susanism, with their truly god- was the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite. They prayed in the morning every Sunday and got festival every middle of the summer.

People of the fairies world lived in an organization civilization. They were hard working and cooperative pretty well with each other. They discovered lot’s of resources like: gold, metals, oil, and gas. There were 4 gold mines, 4 metals mines, and 3 oil- gas mines. Also, people here invented the mills, which provided most of the energy for their works and their social. The two most common jobs for them were working at the factories and doing faming. Their main foods were corn and flowers. The factories are the places for them to produce foods and house stuff, ect…

Every year on February until July, the Flowers land and the flying creatures land always raining. The landscapes between those 3 lands were quite similar, the mountains were the tallest places and the field and river sometimes were the lowest. So it wasn’t hard for people to adapt to the new environment if they moved. Each land set their own capital, and having their own ability to done, just like their goddess Aphrodite said.

Buffalo Fight Do Son

Through the researching and learning about my family from the family tree project, I have been able to know a lot about my family history either culture. Well, I did this kind of project many times, but each time, I always wanted to put something new in to my project. So this time, I decided to introduce you and everybody about the buffalo fight Do Son, Hai Phong- the traditional festival of my hometown, where my dad came from. It was very interesting for me too. I didn’t know about this before, it was when my mom told me about that so.

The buffalo fight of Do Son happened every year on 9/8, according to the lunar calendar. The preparation for this festival is very elaborate. Buffalo that chosen for the fight had to have big breast, strong legs, pointed horns…Also, they had to be over 5 years old or more. To fine buffalos like that was hard, but to train buffalo to fight is much harder, that’s why the trainers had to be very skillful for these buffalos. Fighting buffalos lived separately, neither of them lived together.

The opening of the festival took from morning till noon, everybody danced and sang. Followed by that were the 12 buffalos had been cleaned and wore the red clothes, their horn covered by pink and yellow ribbons. After the ritual dance of 24 men, 2 trainers came out along with their fighting buffalos to the middle of the stadium. When the signal began, the two buffalo crashed to each other, with skilled movement. Audiences cheered and yelled a lot!

The festival was exited. After the eliminated round, there was just only 6 buffalo left. Then they will fight in pair. When the winner buffalo had been chose, they will kill those to eat. I know it hear quite weird. But it is my hometown traditional so, that’s it. If you have a chance to visit hai phong around lunar august, don’t forget to watch this festival.
